TWINT is a very secure payment method. Nevertheless, we would like to give you a number of security tips to be aware of when using TWINT.
There are currently e-mails with fraudulent and criminal intentions doing the rounds. These e-mails are faked to make it look like they have been sent by TWINT so that the senders can get their hands on your personal details. TWINT and our partner companies will never ask you for your personal details.
Beware of fraudulent telephone calls! TWINT employees will never ask you to release or block manual codes or payments in the app.
Under no circumstances should you share any codes, passwords or access data over the phone.
Fake TWINT letters are currently circulating. Please note that TWINT will never ask for your personal login details through a QR code.
Always scan TWINT QR codes directly in the TWINT app to stay within TWINT’s secure environment.
If you suspect you have been the victim of fraud, please contact the issuers of your TWINT app immediately.
