How can I top up my credit in the TWINT prepaid app?
The following three methods can be used to top up your credit in the TWINT prepaid app.
Amounts of up to CHF 200 can be topped up via direct debit without a waiting period. However, this is only possible with the following banks. Please note: amounts of CHF 200 and over are always subject to a waiting period (up to four working days).
At the following banks, all amounts – regardless of their size – can be topped up, albeit with a waiting period (processing time) of up to four working days.
With the direct debit process, you can top up your prepaid TWINT app with money taken directly from your account. Select your account in the “Top up credit” menu. Enter the desired amount and confirm by selecting “Top up credit now”.
To be able to use this function, you need to link your account on a one-time basis first. To do so, open the “Top up credit” menu and select “Bank account”. This account will subsequently be used to top up via direct debit.
To do this, select ‘Deposit slip’ in the ‘Top up credit’ menu. Complete the form and you will subsequently receive your personal deposit slip via e-mail. Order your bank to execute a payment in e-banking.
You can also set up a standing order or use the deposit slip on multiple occasions. You will receive a notification as soon as the money is received by TWINT. This generally takes up to three working days and then the amount will be credited to your TWINT account.
Important: When you register, you must order a new payment slip.
You can buy credit codes at Swiss Post as well as at Coop supermarkets, Coop Bau+Hobby and Coop City (food and non-food).Open the Prepaid TWINT App. Tap on the QR Code symbol at the bottom right. Point the smartphone camera at the QR code or enter the credit code. The credit is immediately available in your TWINT App.
The following banks offer a TWINT app that provides the option of establishing a direct connection to your bank account.
