Information on the default guarantee

This information is intended exclusively for customers who use the TWINT Prepaid app. Users of other TWINT apps are not affected by this.

Credit held by customers in the TWINT Prepaid app is protected by default guarantees from leading Swiss banks* to the extent required by law. In the event that TWINT AG becomes insolvent, affected customers can claim the amount they have lost from the banks providing the guarantee. This will be coordinated by Werder Viganò AG, a law firm commissioned by TWINT AG.

In the event of insolvency, the appointed law firm will provide the affected clients with a form at www.werdervigano.ch. They can use this to report their outstanding claim against TWINT AG arising from prepaid credit. A certified copy of a valid form of identification will also be required.

After the submitted report has been verified, the appointed law firm will forward the claim notification to one of the guaranteeing banks, which will arrange payment of the outstanding amount directly to the customer concerned. The terms of the respective default guarantees will apply.

*The default guarantee is provided by the following banks: Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, Zürcher Kantonalbank, Raiffeisen, UBS Switzerland AG.
