How can I save or deactivate TWINT as a payment method?
Save:
Some retailers allow you to select TWINT as your payment method at checkout, enabling you to pay more quickly. This means that, when shopping with these retailers in future, you will automatically pay with TWINT – for example, in the SBB or Migros app, in online shops or for subscriptions.
If a retailer offers this option, you will be asked at the checkout whether you would like to activate automatic payment with TWINT.
Deactivate:
You can cancel this authorisation at any time under your TWINT app’s settings.
To do so, please take the following steps: Open your TWINT app, tap on the profile icon at the top right or top left, then tap “Payment settings” and “Automated payments”. Here, you will see an overview of the merchants with whom you have saved TWINT as a payment method and you can now deactivate any of these merchants.
Please note the following important points:
- Deactivation does not automatically terminate your contractual obligations towards the merchant.
- If there is an automated payment with the status ‘Reserved’, the merchant is entitled to charge you even after deactivation.
If you use a TWINT app other than the TWINT Prepaid app, the procedure may differ slightly. If you have any questions, please contact the customer service of your TWINT app directly.
