How can I tell if I can pay a bill using TWINT?
Each business decides whether to offer its customers the option of paying their bills using TWINT.
In principle, all QR invoices featuring a Swiss QR code and the corresponding QR or SCOR reference number are compatible with TWINT.
Here’s how to tell if you can pay an invoice using TWINT:
- For paper or digital invoices (such as PDFs), look for a TWINT logo on the invoice to see if it can be paid via TWINT. Important: To pay the bill, scan the QR code using the TWINT app, not your device’s camera app.
- For digital bills sent by email or via the company’s web portal, a button featuring the TWINT logo may also be displayed. If you open the payment link on a computer, a QR code will appear which you can scan using your TWINT app to make the payment. If you open the payment link on a smartphone, the payment process will start directly in your TWINT app.
