How do I charge my electric vehicle with TWINT?
If you see a TWINT QR code sticker affixed to a charging station or payment terminal, this means that you can use TWINT to pay for your charging session. To do so, please take the following steps:
- Open your TWINT app and tap “Pay”.
- Scan the QR code on the charging station or the payment terminal. If you scan the QR code on a payment terminal, please select the station at which you would like to charge your vehicle.
- Check the prices and start the charging session.
- Once you connect the charging cable, the charging session will start automatically.
- Once the charging session has ended, the actual amount of electricity you used to charge your vehicle will be charged to your TWINT account.
Alternatively, you can start the charging process via the partner function’ ‘Charge’.
- In your TWINT app, tap ‘Charge’ under ‘Partner functions’. The 4 most frequently used functions will then be displayed. You can access a full list of these functions by selecting ‘Show all’.
- This will take you to an overview map of all participating charging station operators.
- To display charging stations in your area that support payment with TWINT via the ‘Charge’ function, activate your smartphone’s location services. Here’s how to enable location services.
- Select your charging location.
- Check the prices and start charging.
- As soon as you connect the charging cable, charging will start automatically.
- Once you have finished charging, the amount charged will be debited.
