How can I track the parking session?
The easiest way to do this is to use our Live Parking Tracker. You can find instructions for iOS and Android devices here.
iOS
With the iOS Live Activities feature, you can easily track your parking session in real time. To do so, please take the following steps:
- To use the Live Parking Tracker, you need iOS version 17.2 or later.
- As soon as you start a parking session for the first time after installing or updating the TWINT Prepaid app*, the Live Parking Tracker starts, and you will be asked whether you want to allow this feature for your TWINT app. You can also change this at any time in the system settings for the TWINT app.
- The Live Parking Tracker will appear on your lock screen. If you’re using a device with a “Dynamic Island”, the Live Parking Tracker will also be shown on your iPhone’s home screen. You can also track your parking session on your Apple Watch.
- If you want to end the current parking session early, tap “End Parking Time” in the Live Parking Tracker and confirm that you want to end the parking session in the TWINT in-app browser as usual.
- The Live Parking Tracker can be swiped away at any time and will then disappear from both the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Important: swiping away the Live Parking Tracker does not end the parking session. If you have swiped away the Live Parking Tracker and want to end the ongoing parking session prematurely, you must do so directly via the TWINT app. More information can be found here.
Android
On Android devices, you can easily follow your parking session via notifications. To do so, please take the following steps:
- The Live Parking Tracker is available on all Android versions compatible with the TWINT Prepaid app*. If you can use the TWINT Prepaid app on your Android smartphone, this new feature is also available.
- To use the Live Parking Tracker on Android, you need to activate notifications for payments in your TWINT Prepaid app. To do this, tap to “General Settings” in the menu and click on “Push Notifications” and allow notifications for “Payment”.
- The Live Parking Tracker for Android does not run in real time. You will receive a notification when the parking process starts and when the parking time expires.
- The Live Parking Tracker will be displayed according to your push notification settings.
- If you want to end the current parking session early, tap “End Parking Time” in the Live Parking Tracker and confirm that you want to end the parking session in the TWINT in-app browser as usual.
- The Live Parking Tracker can be swiped away at any time (like all other push notifications) and it will then disappear. Important: swiping away the notification does not end the parking session. If you have swiped away the Live Parking Tracker and want to end the ongoing parking session prematurely, you must do so directly via the TWINT app. More information can be found here.
* Please note that this additional feature may not be available in every TWINT app. If you can’t find the feature, please contact the Customer Service team for your TWINT app.
