TWINT launches TWINT invoice for easier digital payments

With TWINT invoice, customers can now pay QR bills directly using the TWINT app and select their own payment date before the payment deadline. At the same time, billers can benefit from an additional digital payment option without having to adapt their existing invoicing processes. TWINT invoice marks the launch of a new range of invoicing solutions from TWINT.

Invoices are one of the most common points of contact between businesses and their customers. However, many processes still involve manual steps. With TWINT invoice, TWINT has created a solution that makes paying invoices easier and offers businesses an additional, straightforward payment option.

Benefits for customers

Paying QR bills with TWINT is easy and convenient for customers: they simply scan the Swiss QR code on the invoice using their TWINT app, check the payment details and specify when they want the payment to be made before the payment deadline. They then confirm the payment directly in the app.

For digital invoices, there is also an invoice button available which can be embedded in e-mails, on websites or in apps, for example. This allows invoices to be imported directly into the TWINT app so they can be paid there. As an additional option, invoices can be uploaded directly to the TWINT app using the upload function and then paid.

Markus Kilb, CEO of TWINT: “Paying invoices is part of everyday life in Switzerland. With TWINT invoice, we’re making this payment process just as straightforward as our TWINT users have come to expect. They can pay their invoices directly in the TWINT app and specify their own payment date before the payment deadline. At the same time, the service will provide businesses with an additional payment option that can be seamlessly integrated into existing invoicing processes.”

Benefits for businesses

For billers, the new solution opens up additional opportunities to digitalise their customer interactions. As TWINT invoice is based on the established Swiss QR code standard, businesses can continue to use their existing invoicing processes. Invoices can still be issued on paper or digitally, with TWINT being added as an additional payment option. TWINT invoice will help make invoice payment processes more digital, reducing admin and costs.

TWINT invoice is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises and for large organisations with high invoicing volumes. Companies such as Planzer Parcel, Elektrizitätswerk des Kantons Schaffhausen (EKS), Energie Wasser Luzern (EWL), green.ch, ClubDesk and RaiseNow are already using the new TWINT solution. By embedding TWINT invoice in their existing processes, companies can offer their customers a modern, user-friendly payment process.
