TWINT appoints Daniel Bernasconi as Chief Information Officer

In August 2024, Daniel Bernasconi will assume the role of Chief Information Officer at TWINT. In this role, he will be responsible for managing IT initiatives and for driving forward the innovative capacity of the Swiss payment app at a strategic level.

TWINT is announcing that Daniel Bernasconi will assume the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) from August 2024 onwards. In this function, he will be responsible for the strategic development of IT initiatives and for improving the technical development of TWINT. With an extensive background in strategic IT development and finance technology, Daniel Bernasconi has achieved remarkable results at numerous companies including Swisscom, PostFinance, CSC (now DXC) and IBM. In his last role prior to joining TWINT, he was Chief Technology Officer at Finnova and headed the company's Technology Competence Centre. Here, he was responsible for tasks such as the further development of the architecture and the technology road map. Daniel Bernasconi will become part of the TWINT Executive Board on 1 August and will report to CEO Markus Kilb. He is the successor to Simon Wehrli, who is leaving the company. Simon has accompanied TWINT for more than six years on its journey to becoming the leading payment app in Switzerland and has made a significant contribution to the company's success.
