Save your loyalty cards directly in the TWINT app now

Switzerland’s payment app continues to promote digital shopping innovations and is integrating loyalty cards such as Coop Supercard and Migros Cumulus directly into the payment process. In this way, TWINT is making mobile payments at cash registers even simpler.

TWINT has grown to become one of the preferred payment methods and one of the most popular brands in Switzerland thanks to its digital simplification of everyday life. By allowing its users to save loyalty cards directly in the app, TWINT is now making the payment process at in-store cash registers even easier.

Users can now save a variety of loyalty cards from popular Swiss merchants in every version of the TWINT app. This means that they no longer have to carry the physical copies of these cards wherever they go, as they can store them simply and securely in the TWINT app. Once saved, loyalty cards from numerous businesses can be presented directly in the TWINT app during the payment process.

The ability to save loyalty cards in the TWINT app offers a wide range of advantages when paying at cash registers:

Convenience: There’s no longer any need to rummage around your wallet or purse. Users now have their loyalty cards to hand directly in the TWINT app.

Speed: Payments at in-store cash registers can be made even faster if you have saved your loyalty cards in the TWINT app. All you need to do is scan the loyalty card code displayed on the screen of your smartphone.

Versatility: The loyalty cards of a variety of partner companies are compatible with the feature, including popular merchants such as Coop, Migros, Globus, Ex Libris, Tchibo, Transa, TopPharm and many more.

How it works:

  • Step 1: Save your loyalty cards in the TWINT app by opening the menu and navigating to the “Loyalty cards and offers” section. When you make a payment with TWINT, saved loyalty cards will now be displayed directly on the payment screen within the app.
  • Step 2: At the cash register, start the payment process in your TWINT app and select the merchant's loyalty card.
  • Step 3: Have the loyalty card’s barcode scanned by the cashier or scan it yourself at a self-checkout. This means that loyalty points and the other benefits offered by your loyalty cards are only a tap of the finger away.

With this feature, TWINT is making shopping more convenient than ever before. Users no longer have to worry about losing or forgetting their loyalty cards and can enjoy a simpler shopping experience. Merchants in turn benefit from the intuitive digitalisation of their loyalty scheme and even greater customer loyalty.

Markus Kilb, CEO of TWINT: “We are confident that the integration of loyalty cards in the TWINT app represents a significant improvement in the payment process for both our users and our network of merchants. This will help us to achieve our goal of making digital everyday life as simple, secure and convenient as possible with innovative solutions.”
