Why does the payout amount differ from my daily sales figures? 

Please bear the following points in mind when comparing your daily sales figures from your accounting system with the TWINT payout amount:

• Your sales are paid out minus any transaction fees. You can find the fees in your statements on the TWINT Business Portal app and on the TWINT merchant portal.
• If you recorded a negative sales amount in a statement period because you issued more refunds than you took in, this amount will be deducted from your sales in subsequent statement periods. Example for daily statements (transaction fees excluded for the sake of simplicity):
  • Monday: you record no sales, but you issue refunds of CHF 200 on previous purchases. As a result, you have a negative balance of CHF 200. You will not receive any payouts for Monday.
  • Tuesday: you record sales of CHF 175 and do not issue any refunds. This reduces your negative balance from CHF 200 to CHF 25. You will not receive any payouts for Tuesday.
  • Wednesday: you record sales of CHF 100 and do not issue any refunds. This settles your negative balance and leaves you with a credit of CHF 75 (–25 + 100), which will be paid out to you with your Wednesday statement (and credited to your bank account on Friday, i.e. two value days later, provided there are no public holidays in between).
