What are the payment link and the payment button?

The payment link and the payment button are our solutions for online payments. Commercial merchants can use the link or button to offer TWINT as a payment system without an online shop system or integration effort. The payment link is the digital alternative to our QR code sticker with payment information.

The payment link can be shared via Messenger, for example, or the payment button can be integrated into a website or newsletter.

When a customer opens the payment link on a computer, a QR code is displayed, which he can then scan with his TWINT app to pay. If the customer opens the payment link on a smartphone, the payment process starts directly in their TWINT app.

This solution is also available for postal shipments, see here: What is the QR code for postal delivery?

To order a payment link or payment button, merchants follow these instructions.
