Current phishing wave: Fraudulent e-mails are currently circulating in the name of TWINT requesting confirmation for a supposedly new device registration abroad. Please be careful – these are phishing attempts.

How do I manage notifications about incoming payments in the TWINT Business Portal app?

In the TWINT Business Portal app, you can activate push notifications in real time for transactions made via QR code stickers and payment links.

If you are logging into the TWINT Business Portal app for the first time, you will be immediately asked whether and for which of your stores you would like to set up notifications.

You can change the settings at any time under “My notifications”.

Once you have activated notifications, they will be displayed for every incoming payment from this moment on until you deactivate notifications or tap “Log out” to log out entirely from the TWINT Business Portal app. If you use biometric authentication to log in to the TWINT Business Portal app, you will need to set it up again each time you log out of the app. You can find out how to do this here.

Tip for sellers: Enable notifications before your shift starts and disable them after your shift ends
In order to ensure that you receive notifications regarding incoming payments via the TWINT Business Portal app during your shift, we recommend that sales assistants make sure to log into the TWINT Business Portal app and activate notifications for all of the stores needed in the Settings menu before starting their shift. To ensure that you no longer receive notifications once your shift has ended, you can deactivate notifications for all stores in the Settings menu.

Tip for iOS users: enable notifications during the onboarding process
If you have not enabled notifications during the onboarding process, you will need to uninstall the app and install it again. Once you have done this, you can log in again and then enable notifications directly during the onboarding process. If you do not enable notifications in the app, you will not be able to receive any notifications for transactions.

Tip for Android users: permissions for apps that are not used
On Android devices, apps that have not been used in a while are automatically put in something like a “standby” mode. This setting can be found in different places depending on the device and the operating system version. You can normally access this setting by navigating to the “Device settings” menu, opening the “App settings” menu and then the accessing the settings for the TWINT Business Portal app.
