Current phishing wave: Fraudulent e-mails are currently circulating in the name of TWINT requesting confirmation for a supposedly new device registration abroad. Please be careful – these are phishing attempts.

How do I set up an additional user for the TWINT merchant portal?

There are 2 different user roles in the TWINT merchant portal:

  • Administrators have extensive rights so that they can manage transactions, business information, settings, users and general functions.
  • Observers have limited rights to view transactions, daily closing balances and business information, and cannot edit these. They can also change specific settings that impact their own profiles (e.g. notifications about incoming payments).

In the TWINT merchant portal, users can also use their login details to access the TWINT Business Portal app (with the same user role as in the TWINT merchant portal).

To create additional users for the merchant portal, you will need to log into your existing account with administrator rights.

  • Under “Settings”, you will find the “Add user” button in the “User management” section.
  • Tap this button and then enter the personal details and desired role of the new user.
  • You will need to provide a valid e-mail address to which the user has access. Find out how secure your data is in the merchant portal here.
  • Please enter the new user’s mobile phone number.
  • Select a secure initial password for the new user and tap “Create”.
  • We recommend that new users change their password after logging in for the first time. Here, you will find out how to change the password needed to access the merchant portal.

In the “User management” area, you can also edit or delete existing users if you have administrator rights.

Should you still not be able to access the merchant portal, please register your company in the merchant portal first.
