How do I change my account details in the TWINT merchant portal?

It is very important that the account details that you save in the TWINT merchant portal are correct; otherwise, we will not be able to execute payments. The name of the account holder for the respective IBAN must be the same as the name listed on your bank statement.

For example
Mr Max Mustermann has a company through which he manages an online shop named “Example Shop”. Mr Mustermann has a corporate account with the IBAN XXY for his company “Example Shop GmbH”. If Mr Mustermann now incorrectly states in the TWINT partner portal that the name of the account holder for the account with the IBAN XXY is “Max Mustermann” instead of “Example Shop”, Mr Mustermann’s bank will very likely reject our payment (this occurs from a specific minimum amount, depending on the bank).

Follow these steps to ensure that your payouts are transferred to your bank account on time:

Changing the IBAN currently saved in the TWINT merchant portal

Here’s how to update the payout account for all stores linked to your existing bank account. If you’ve only set up one payout account for all your stores, this is the right procedure for you: 

  • Click “Transactions” in the menu bar on the left-hand side
  • Under “Accounts”, click the pencil symbol next to the IBAN for which you would like to change your account holder details
  • Enter the correct account holder details and click “Save”

Add an additional IBAN in the TWINT merchant portal

Follow these instructions if you have multiple stores and would like to have payments for each store made to different bank accounts:

  • Click “Stores” in the menu bar on the left-hand side
  • Click the pencil symbol next to the store for which you would like to change your account details
  • Under “Credit account”, click the pencil symbol
  • Click “Add account” under “Credit account” at the very bottom of the page
  • Now enter the correct account holder name and the correct IBAN
  • If you still have not done so, please upload a bank statement for this account so that we can verify the accuracy of your details, where necessary.

IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions below to assign the additional payout accounts to the relevant store.

Assigning an IBAN to a store in the TWINT merchant portal

Follow these steps if you have multiple payout accounts set up and would like to have payments for each store made to different bank accounts: 

  • Click “Stores” in the menu bar on the left-hand side
  • Click the pencil symbol next to the store for which you would like to change your account details
  • Under “Credit account”, click the pencil symbol
  • At the very bottom of the page, select the IBAN that you would like to use from the dropdown menu under “Credit account”
  • To save your changes, click “Home” in the menu on the left and then click “Save” here.
