The Swiss payment app is helping to further simplify the mobility sector. With TWINT, users can pay for parking fees, buy tickets for public transport and now also save time at the fuel pump.
New collaboration for even easier mobility
TWINT already enables easier payments in public and private transport. For instance, parking fees can be paid conveniently from inside your car and overpaid fees are refunded on departure. The seamless integration of TWINT in transport network apps also allows the convenient purchase of tickets for public transport. Now visiting the fuel station is also much easier for TWINT users. This is made possible by a collaboration with the company Hectronic, which specialises in innovative solutions for fuel station management.
Refuelling made easier
Payment is made possible directly at the pump at participating fuel stations thanks to integration with TWINT. Simply scan the QR code on the pump with the TWINT app – the pump is then unlocked and payment is made seamlessly in the app. This is efficient and shortens the refuelling process, as there is no need to deal with payment machines. AGROLA is taking a pioneering role here and has already activated 24 locations in the canton of Zurich, which enable payment with TWINT directly at the pump. A first Gustoil station in Zuchwil is likewise participating and additional COMBUSTIA stations will soon follow in the canton of Valais. In addition, the refuelling process can soon also be started directly from the TWINT app without having to scan the QR code at the pump.
