TWINT Parking is making the payment process in public car parks easier. Parking fees can already be twinted in more than 700 cities and municipalities across Switzerland. From 1 September 2021, this will now also be possible in Bern.
The arduous task of gathering coins together is a thing of the past – TWINT has revolutionised parking in Switzerland. Nowhere else in the world is it so easy to pay for parking fees as in the more than 700 cities and municipalities that allow you to pay to park simply by scanning the QR code on the exit barrier or directly in the TWINT app.
From 1 September 2021 onwards, TWINT can now also be used at every public car park in Bern. This means that the app can be used in most major Swiss cities and in hundreds of smaller municipalities around the country, including Zurich, St. Gallen, Lugano, Chur and Biel.
The easiest way to pay for parking fees
The digital parking process is quick, easy and straightforward. All you need to do is save the registration number of your car in the app and then the parking session can be started and the time spent in the parking space set. The best thing about this is that if you return to your car earlier than planned, it is really easy to end the parking session and get back the excess amount you paid.
TWINT is the most popular mobile parking solution in Switzerland
TWINT Parking is the most-used and fastest-growing mobile parking solution in Switzerland. After teaming up with Digitalparking, TWINT quickly assumed the top spot in the Swiss market. TWINT Parking was also the winner of the recent K-Tipp test (K-Tipp issue dated 25 August 2021) and was recommended as the best solution for digital parking. Further applications will be launched on the TWINT marketplace in the future to make life in Switzerland that bit easier.
