Contactless payments are the hygienic way to pay

Food stores and pharmacies prefer contactless means of payment

With TWINT, you can use QR codes and Beacons to make contactless payments. This is extremely useful in times of special hygiene measures and social distancing.

By making contactless payments, you can protect those close to you as well as all of the people who are currently contributing in extraordinary ways, i.e. by working in food stores and pharmacies.

Use TWINT and provide neighbourhood assistance

A sense of both responsibility and solidarity are currently required. Many of our fellow human beings hope for our solidarity and support. Do the shopping for grandma or take her dog Barry for a walk. When doing so, make sure to always adhere to hygiene regulations and keep a safe distance from other people.

You can request and receive money from friends and family. Whether you are sending or requesting money: with a photo and a few nice words, you can add a personal and friendly touch to your message.

Together, we will get through this extraordinary situation.

Donate money to the Red Cross with TWINT

The Swiss Red Cross is working together with TWINT to collect money for those affected by the coronavirus crisis.

In collaboration with the cantonal associations and the emergency services, the Red Cross is supporting hospital staff, helping older people to do their shopping, driving those in need to medical examinations, carrying out errands and looking after children. The demand for such help is huge.

Your donation will help to slow down the spread of the virus and save lives.

TWINT will donate CHF 5 on top of every donation made via TWINT

We thank you with all our hearts for your solidarity.

Welcome to the TWINT family, ALDI SUISSE!

TWINT users can now make contactless payments at all ALDI cash registers in Switzerland. To do so, simply open the TWINT app, scan the QR code on the payment terminal and then confirm the payment. With contactless payments, the hygiene measures specified by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health can be implemented even more effectively, as there is no need to enter a PIN on the payment terminal. We are delighted to welcome ALDI SUISSE to the TWINT family and that almost every retailer in Switzerland is now offering TWINT as a means of payment.

Pay at cash registers

At many cash registers, you can pay with TWINT at the payment terminal via QR code. At Coop and other stores, the cash registers are equipped with TWINT Beacons: to make a payment, simply activate Bluetooth, open the app and hold your smartphone up to the TWINT Beacon.

Use contactless means of payment in which you do not need to enter a PIN at the terminal. In this way, you are not just protecting yourself, but you are also preventing the virus and other pathogens from spreading.
