Philipp, you work in our Business Operation department. What does your day-to-day work here involve?
Here in the Business Operation team, we are all generalists who each have their own area of expertise in which we have extensive, in-depth specialist knowledge. As a result, we work together closely as a team and look to find solutions for our clients every single day. Whether it’s working for a large corporation or having to deal with simple social media queries, every day is different. I love the variety of this job.
What makes working at TWINT a unique experience for you?
In addition to the versatility of my work, it is mainly the daily challenge of working out solutions in a complex system and finding the right solution for everyone involved.
Furthermore, it is extremely motivating to work for a company whose product you use yourself every day, you think is brilliant and inspires you.
Which TWINT function do you use most?
Definitely one that was already in the first version of the TWINT app – paying at cash registers. I use this function numerous times every day – from paying for my purchases from the bakery in the morning to buying beers after work. I always use TWINT to pay, wherever it is possible.
When you are not working at TWINT, what do you like to do?
I am a musician and an artist. Specifically, I compose electronic dance music under the name of DEE TREE-9 and I am also a DJ and a performer. The whole thing is an all-in-one art project that includes graphic design, corporate design and the design of visuals. I have been pursuing this passion of mine since the 1990s and in an earlier stage of my life I was booked as a DJ every week from Thursday to Sunday. One of the highlights from my early career was my appearance at the Gurten Festival 2019, where I had the honour of performing as a DJ.
How do you balance your day-to-day working life and your musical commitments?
I work part-time at TWINT and the flexible working hours model also allows me to continue to pursue my passion for music. If this was not possible, my musical and creative work would probably no longer be a hobby of mine.
In order to keep up to date with what I am doing and to support me in my hobbies, I would be delighted if you would follow me on Instagram or Facebook.
