As an iOS user, how can I start TWINT faster?

For iOS users, the TWINT prepaid app and the TWINT apps of many banks offer simple solutions for quickly and directly accessing the desired TWINT function:

Widget for the lock screen and home screen

This means that certain functions within the TWINT app, such as payment at the cash register, can be launched directly from your smartphone’s lock screen without the app having to be opened beforehand. Further information on the solution for Android users is available here.

Visit the Apple website to find out how to add a widget to your iPhone.

TWINT offers the following 4 widgets: “Pay”, “Send money”, “Request money” and “Parking”. Tap on “Parking” to pay your parking fee with TWINT without having to go to a meter or pay point.

To use the “Pay” widget, for example, from your lock screen, please proceed as follows:

• Tap the TWINT “Pay” widget on your lock screen
• Unlock your iPhone and TWINT app
• The QR code scanner in the TWINT app is now automatically opened
• Scan the QR code as you normally would

You can also replace the camera and flashlight widgets on the lock screen with a TWINT feature when using Face ID.

Action button on iPhone

If you have an iPhone with an action button, you can add various TWINT functions under ‘Shortcut’. You can find out how to configure the action button on the Apple website.

Control Centre (iOS 18 or later)

If you use iOS 18 or later, you can also launch various TWINT features directly from the Control Centre. To learn how to add controls to the Control Centre, visit the Apple website.
The advantage over lock screen widgets is that you can add an unlimited number of controls, whereas the lock screen only allows a limited number of widgets.
