Integrating TWINT into a modern cash register.
If your cash register manufacturer already supports TWINT, you can create a new “traditional retail store” point of sale in the TWINT merchant portal.
You can select your cash register manufacturer during the course of the configuration. TWINT will inform your cash register manufacturer that you would like to use TWINT. The cash register manufacturer will subsequently get in touch with you to activate TWINT on your cash register.
After you have created the point of sale in the TWINT merchant portal, you will also need a certificate and some Beacons. The certificate can be applied for after completing the registration process in the settings menu within the merchant portal. This certificate will subsequently be made available for download in the merchant portal.
You can order the Beacons during the registration process – you will need one for each cash register. If your cash register manufacturer has not integrated TWINT directly, you can order the TWINT QR code stickers as an alternative, for example.
